iPhone 3.0 Version Releases

June 19, 2009

Paranaque, Philippines; the Vinta Mobile Social (MoSo) Application Development division is submitting the necessary updates to all applications for all applications under Vinta ownership.  The updates are to keep in track with the release of Apple's iPhone 3.0 OS. The applications will be backward compatible with the  2.2.1 OS.

The new iPhone 3.0 release from Apple has been installed on Vinta hardware for weeks now in preparation for this most anticipated update. Some of the powerful improvements to the latest release (as documented in Apple's development portal) are:

  • Apple Push Notification Service
  • Cut, Copy, and Paste
  • Accessory Support
  • In App Purchase Support
  • Peer to Peer Support
  • Maps API
  • iPod Library Access
Vinta will be looking at taking advantage of these feature in current and future applications build by the MoSo team.

Likewise, from data management perspective, the MoSo team has also incorporated into the SabiNila application new technologies that improve tracking of user activity, and advertisement effectiveness. The MoSo can now better quantify both content viewing, and advertisement usage. The MoSo can use these metrics to help Vinta improve the viewing experience for end users, increase understanding of content distribution for content provider, and provide insight for advertisers on effectivity of ads.

Vinta is also applying Apple's standards to help make the SabiNila application more child friendly - by assesing, and taking necessary procedures in filtering content to achive the appropriate grading level; as structured by Apple's Parental Control Guidleines.
