Vinta Solutions Inc. developed iPhone application for the Council on Foreign Relation (CFR) in its first week of release, reaches the top 20 of Apple's iTunes Free News applications.
The statistics from the Apple iTunes Connect site, the application management tool provided by Apple to its software developer community, provides statistics showing 2631 units of the application were downloaded in its first week.
The breakdown of units shows 2055 downloaded from the US, followed by 95 in Canda, 70 from England, 51 from France, and rounding up the top five countries is Japan with 38 units.
The Philippines, from which the development team of Vinta originates from, only had 5 downloads. There were a total of 46 countries from which one or more downloads were reported.

The application has also made it to the pages of popular online technology publications such as ZDNET, AppBeacon and TechRepublic.
